 Prevention Specialist:
The Oklahoma Drug and Alcohol Professional Counselors Association (ODAPCA) is the advocacy and membership organization for certified (CADC), licensed (LADC) alcohol drug counselors and certification organization for (CPS) certified prevention specialists in the state of Oklahoma.
In Oklahoma ODAPCA represents certified, licensed addiction counselors and certified prevention specialists with the hope of creating one voice that will represent and advocate for the needs of addiction professionals across the state.
Our records indicate that your Prevention Specialist credential is up for renewal. Recertification is a one (1) year cycle running from July 1 through June 30. Payment must be received by June 30.
In accordance with ICRC International standards, you need to complete the following steps and submit to this office the following four (5) items:
1. Click the following link and print out your renewal packet. (Please mail your renewal application with training hours, and print your name exactly as you would like it to appear on your certificate; no titles will appear on card).
2. Submit documentation of twenty (20) hours of Prevention related workshops with three (3) of these in ethics.
3. Submit a brief summary statement reflecting your work in, and contribution to, the field of Prevention during the past year, signed by yourself and one other person,
(either your supervisor/consultant or a person in authority in your agency who is knowledgeable of your prevention work).
4. Submit your recertification/membership fees. Your updated Prevention Certificate will be mailed to you upon your completion of the total process.
5. Click link below and submit a signed Code of Ethics for this recertification period.
Remember! Your CPS certification is reciprocal with other IC&RC states.
