CERTIFICATION INFORMATION PACKET

Greetings:

We would like to thank you for your inquiry into the Prevention Certification process in Oklahoma.

Enclosed you will find an outline of the information requested and instructions as to how you may obtain the complete official manual as well as the necessary forms for application. This outline is in no way intended to give you all the information necessary for the application process. However, it should be quite helpful in helping you to understand the basic experiential, internship, educational, and training requirements.

Certification in Oklahoma is a "peer process"; conducted by dedicated professionals interested in assuring quality prevention services. All fees collected are utilized to defray the cost of information materials, evaluation, certification, communication to the field, office equipment, and staff. The certification board members all volunteer their time and at no time have received any reimbursement for their services.

We sincerely hope you will continue your pursuit of certification and become a part of our "fine profession"  As a part of this profession we look forward to your input into this ever growing process - statewide and nationally.
